Set in the Cocoanut Grove in Los Angeles, this comedy returns us to the Mrs. California home-makers pageant of 1955. Four wives and mothers enthusiastically show off their domestic skills, sponsored by the companies that provide the gas, cake mixes and appliances they use to be perfect homemakers. Take a revealing and wonderful step back in time to remember what women were expected to be in the 50’s as they returned to the homemaking after the work and independence they had enjoyed during the war. No wonder Women’s Lib bloomed soon after!
